In a rather depressing turn of events, it appears the creativity aspect of LittleBigPlanet is being castrated. According to a forum post on the official LittleBigPlanet forum:
Has anyone had this happen to them yet? My level was moderated (read; deleted) and now I can't re-publish. There was absolutely nothing offensive whatsoever in the level at all and I was given no explanation as to why they moderated it or why they won't even let me republish, even after making changes. If any mods here have any insight into why things like this happen, please enlighten me, as this totally kills the enjoyment I was getting out of this game.
So, everything that infringes copyright will be modereted, it seems. Media Molecule can't really be blamed for enforcing these oppressive copyright laws but it still removes a lot of the possibilities in the game. If we can't design anything that even remotely compares to an IP, what's left? 1,000,000 calculators on the Cool Levels section? Sounds fun.
We'll bring any more updates as they come or a official press-release from Sony or Media Molecule.
so instead of having a picture of a can of Coke, have a can of Koke.. big whoop, easy way around copywrite infringement. the tools are robust enough that it shouldnt be that hard to make enough changes to a pic to get around any infringements.
